burned trolleys in Pittsburgh during the early days of steel in the pre-AFL/CIO period, but there sure was a lot of club-in-the-head violence against workers present.

Pittsburgh and the PRR was hit pretty bad during the [railroad] riots of 1877.
The PRR station was burned and just about completely destroyed.
