Hard to fathom people can be so ignorant and lack even the remotest shred of dignity. God help us!

TRUE. And let's face it, though, thankgod, we were not actually there and didn't have to "face it" in person(!!!!!!), if our pants were ever like that, we would know full well they were amiss or at half-ass. She (?) just doesn't care. No pity.

Sadly, they might be in the majority.

God help us!

Why? God put them here and we're stuck with them.....maybe their purpose is to serve as bad examples?

Understand in today's society we are the negative ones. Shamming photos of people is no longer excepted. That lady with the full moon over Walmart may have been robbed of her belt. Now she is trying to buy one with her last few dollars.

So now you are going to blame this on a god that does not exist according to the scientific community,

Your statement is a non-sequitur and irrelevant; it's also largely incorrect as well. I did not assign blame. However, all those that embrace Christianity would be hypocrites to not accept these people as being part of God's plan. I merely posit that their place in the plan may be to serve as bad examples. Whatever else are Darwin awardees possibly for if not to demonstrate a bad example (and to provide some somewhat dark humor/entertainment)?

We are all irrelevant. Humans have no reason to exist and no purpose in living.

We are here to breed off springs and make them followers of our god. Then raise them to fight followers of other gods.

This was an interesting thread. I just now re-read it all the way through. Such a pleasant and convivial conversation.

I don't have any pet news nor additional opinions to foist upon your good fellows; however, I do have one personal "phenomenon" to report, which involves pet ownership.

That is, a few people who have felt motivated to offer me sympathy recently, all of which is much appreciated, truly, have asked if I had a pet or if I were thinking of getting one. They have suggested that I should, now that my wife is gone. Upon each occasion, I thank them, of course, for their outreach but do express a firm decline about ever getting a pet as it regards the absence of Ginny. I take the suggestion, quietly inside myself, as odd. I can honestly say it has never occurred to me to suggest such a thing to any bereaved person. Maybe I just never got the memo on that concept, or wasn't paying attention.

I keep my TV on after I fall asleep at night, partly as a night light, and partly as a tranquilizer. One time I woke up to Meerkat Manor on Animal Planet, which felt real good. They have other good shows early in the morning, like Animal Cops. It's like getting an animal fix, without having to care for an animal.

I'm single and live alone. Dogs make me feel like somethings around.
