Outstanding modeling/weathering, but I like the grass even better!

Everywhere ones looks, it is beautiful, aged and weathered perfectly. Is that effect intentionally emphasized by the extreme paucity of human figures? I see very few, altogether: the hobos at the campfire site, and the man standing at the booth. Having , in effect, no figures at all certainly gives the entire village-scape the feeling of a "Lonesome Town," if that was the intention, nearly emptyof life. That is a bold move and certainly rather unique, it seems to me. The whole overall feeling of the place being empty of life is artistically and successfully conveyed. My congratulations to Tramp for such artistic control and consistency.

I also noticed the lack of life. Oddly, I saw that, before I noticed the absence of trains. But, what is there, are magnificently done models and scenery.

There is almost a film noir look about it. Even though those are color shots, they seem desaturated. Beautifully done.

Lads, I hate to ruin the fantasy but the simple explanation is the railroad is not even 1/3 complete. Just haven't had a chance to add but a few figures. However, great eye on the Film Noir comment. That is very intentional. This is the dying coastal mill town of Penobscot Falls in 1956. The slogan for the town is: "A Drinking Town with a Fishing Problem."

I'll send Rufus (who so kindly put these up) a few more with people and one photo that is VERY film noir.
