N.J. coronavirus update: Health care workers to receive first doses of vaccine

I've been following several state doing health care workers first in staggered shifts; nursing homes are supposed to be next. Some logistics and training issues in those seem to be a problem as well as obtaining informed consent.

I think it's also the recommendation from the CDC as to prioritization. One hopes that all the rest follow through similarly.

What's your take on Pfizer's ceo not taking the vaccine? Nice guy or scared stiff?. I think he is in a cant win situation with making people feel happy. Yet he should have taken it. Show confidence in your product.

Neil can never fully give credit where credit is due because it’s Trump. 2 years from now he’ll be praising Biden for the vaccine. Like another on this forum who rips Trump because he didn’t acknowledge the people dying from covid yet he can’t find it in himself to thank President Trump for moving the ball forward rather quickly on the development of this vaccine, which will now save many lives. Had Biden been at the helm 3 million would have been dead and the media would have been giving him a tongue bath over how great he is.

Of course, if we turn to interfering with the NIH, CDC and other federal agencies trying to give correct messages to the public, the Trump administration's array of totally ignorant political tools deserve to go to prison for murder . Including the President himself, for lying to the public about life and death matters. Kind of negates the praise on the vaccine issue to some extent. Even his hand picked CDC appointees resigned in horror at the interference and blatant stupidity from the White House.

Pfizer has done all it can to avoid entering into agreements with the Gov't to take R&D money to maintain its control and ownership of the technology. What funding they have gotten it for final product and distribution. This is all known information.
