Chicago Show Update

Postby RDSRR » Thu Mar 16, 2017 3:24 pm

We just updated the Website for Melissa, so here is a heads up on two new tours:

10-3 pm Friday, March 17th - Illinois Railway Museum self-guided tours: free will donation. The IRM is technically closed in March, but they are opening up for attendees of our show for self-guided tours. Go to gate 5 beyond the parking lot and use the buzzer on the box at the gate to be admitted. Please leave a free will donation in the office.
11 am Meet in the office of the IRM for a guided tour of the Steam Shop

2 pm Sunday, March 19th - Guided tour of the historic Pullman site. Available for the first time ever through the show! The Pullman Historic District is located in Chicago and was the first model, planned industrial community in the United States. It was built for George Pullman as a place to produce the famous Pullman sleeping cars. Transportation is not provided to the site, but if you can make it there by 2 o'clock, the guided tour is free of charge to show participants. Check out the link to the historic Pullman site here http://www.pullman-museum.org/ You can register for the tour by sending an email to Melissa at meetinfo@aol.com or sign up at the show.
Regards,

Dan

Way to go Dan. I'll post a copy at Des Plains Hobby, they say 90% of the people never get the word.
