Small Coal Tipple, 1910, Pennsylvania

This tipple small enough for even the smallest of layouts.

Striking. I'm guessing the building in back was the engine house. How did the coal get from the mine to the tipple?

Was it usual to load coal into gondolas in 1910?

Curiously, that's the whitest foreground and surroundings I think I've ever seen around a coal tipple.........

Note the odd arch-bar(?) truck on the car under the tipple. I have not seen that style before.
