Not sure what all of these are but appear to be some fairly recently mfg'd brass frames and powered chassis that could of interest to a scratch builder.

I'll say! I think I will watch as they get bid beyond my interest level. I wonder if that shell is "lost-plastic?"

You mean a plastic master was used to cast the brass copy?

I'm guessing the plastic master would have to have been an Atlas F9(?); that's the only plastic F unit that comes to mind right off. I think the brass shell in the picture is an F3.

I know this was done in N scale, using a Bachmann shell; might have done in HO, not sure.

In any case, it's a nice lot which will probably sell for hundreds...

I just casually thought it might actually be a older OMI shell of a 1st generation F-3 with side marker lights. Looks very similar to OMI shells. Side marker F units never interested me due to my chosen road so if it is an OMI I missed it.

Got to admit, the selection covers the gamut.

Interesting stuff that, yes. will sell for too much.....but little there that I actually need for any project in my shop anyway!

Dennis did a P&D. He was still working out the bugs of his vacuum cast setup. It looked pretty good. You have seen the PA/PB that Dennis did for me out of MTH plastic.

Bingo! Shell is an Overland PRR F3. You can see the train phone antennae, and you can also see it is equipped with a steam generator which was an ERROR on all the Overland PRR F3's with high fans. PRR F's were freight engines and were NOT equipped with steam generators. The high fans were on the first 6 PRR F3 A units purchased. road numbers 9500 to 9505. All PRR F3's had streamlined number boards.

I see a possible use for two of the items.

An that's an original...a Mikado diesel, or a 2-8-2 F3 if you prefer. Actually has a certain stylish appeal about it...

The PRR clothes line is priceless. It would even be more so with a couple of shirts and underwear hanging beneath.
