I never knew that you could take an HO through truss bridge, flip it upside down, and call it an O scale bridge.

No, what you may detect is CYA. Listed as 0, literature says H0, so nobody can complain when it isn't what they thought.

That's what I said.
Now, a 160 foot H0 bridge is....80 in 0 (more or less).
But the weight handling is...less than half.
Let's say you have 10" beams in H0, then you've got 5" (more or less) in 0.

Yeah, you can do it...and be creative....sure, why not.

Just remember though that many people suffer from selective comprehension, Wonder who the creative modelers were that determined this.....

The main problem I have with such a Flip-a-Bridge (and I have done one
or two shorter ones myself for a trolley line) is that the bridge's stringers
are hung from the floor beams, rather than resting upon them. Hope that
they used high-tensile strength fasteners! On the model, this inversion
of good engineering can at least be covered over by using ties---lots of ties,
to obstruct the view!
