Hello all

May 1922 the Prosperity Special left Baldwin Locomotive Works in Philadelphia on it's journey to Los Angeles. Southern Pacific Railroad had placed an order for 50 Class F 2-10-2's...when completed as a promotion to help the moral of the recession depressed Americans 20 of the new steam engines made the cross country trip. The train stopped in many small cities along the way with the message of "prosperity was on the way".
The roaring twenties began to roar the following year.
Scale Model Railways (Huntington , Ind) O scale model of SP Class F from the late 1930's... originally outside third rail...now 2 rail.

Thank you Bob for all your help getting this beast rolling again .
Cheers Carey
