A few years ago my layout room resembled that but you could not even get into it for the boxes and crates of scenery supplies.

I moved everything out and after unpacking and using everything, I had a fully finished layout with all the scenery. Leftovers got sold off.....

Now I have way too many trains.........and I build them faster than I can sell them,

Yup, probably 50 projects lying within sight here, many of which will never get done. No matter, I just want to get some stuff running again. In the last 36 months I've probably added a dozen locos to the roster which, other than a few minutes on a circle of test track on the dining room table, have yet to stretch their legs. Some I plan to jettison, but I at least want to run all of them a few times on something more than an O-31 circle.

Thanks. The August meet is unpredictable. I have had very good sales and then some of the worse ever sales.

Oh boy! I’m hoping I don’t get to that point, but life happens! I’ve got a few unfinished projects in the wood shop that need to be completed.

The build is shaping up nicely btw!

Remember, my layout being prewar tinplate, you can pile light stuff on it with little fear of damage (but that's no excuse). A couple of things happened in the last few years that led to this, one being I moved a bunch of boxes of books into the basement which jammed things up, and the second was a minor flood from a clogged main-drain, that did no damage other than destroy the bricks for the layout power supply which I had foolishly left lying on the floor waiting to be moved to a shelf underneath. I've since gotten the books stored away for the most part, and just recently replaced the Z-1000 bricks to restore power to the three lines. Now I've got to clear all of the accumulated stuff off the top of the layout and get back to running some trains.

BTW, anybody that wants a copy of an excellent book on Russian armored cars, flip me a PM.

If it's prewar why do you have bricks?

Why not? Most of the prewar transformers are either underpowered or huge/bulky. If I lend something for a prewar display, then I have a few vintage packs to offer, but for running stuff on the layout, I want all of that under the table.

You don't know what you're missing. Hard-cover, 300+ pages...excellent for flattening out documents and curled-up decal sheets.

It's actually a great book for armor modelers...just a bit too esoteric for 99.9% of the general public

I'm repainting the tank on the Flyer 3018 before I take a stab at applying the decals. A bit too much "orange-peel" on the finish. If I can't get this more to my liking, I'll likely strip it again and try a different paint.

Was painting outside Fri/Sat and managed to get a caboose pretty decently done along with a wood scratchbuild project.

Soldering up all the missing parts onto what I think is a Rail Craft 2-bay hopper; beginning to think I might be almost competent with my little torch,

Got 3 IMP 2 bay hoppers in following in that queue. Solder & repair; paint & decal, trucks & coupler, and then good-bye to those 3
