Strange computer browsing result

Would a couple of you folks please click on the link and tell me what you see? I can't seem to figure out if it's a problem with my browser or if the website is wonky. All I get is a bright yellow background with some sort of text that seems to obscure the content. Thanks.

Here is a screen grab (scrngrb1) of the link provided above, with imaging and javascript disabled on an early version of Firefox browser on Vista-dumb SP1.

No problems noted browsing other locations on the site (scrngrb2).

Interesting... on my computer, there is a world of difference. Arthur's link looks like the image ScaleCraft posted.

Flush the browser cache or use a different browser that you haven't used to try to access that site. To "speed things up" a browser will try to use a cached version of a site whenever possible. If it's a bad/corrupted cache it will keep displaying the "bad" material. You have to force a refresh to get out of loop/trap. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Just so you know, that overlaid, wrapped, pixellated screen shot I posted it from browsers that are cleaned every night (CCleaner for one), and double cleared if there is an issue...and that mess shows up in two cleaned and cleared browsers, and nothing else on the entire algore shows up that way (that I have found, anyway).
If you have to turn off normally functional items to view the page, the page is hosed. And probably based in NK.

It's the web site - drop the https to http and it's fine.

Thank you. That worked. I'm sure some computer expert can explain why the "s" showed up and why the "s" fouled it up.

I've seen that added "s" screw up a link and I have too would like to hear from that same expert........and I might have one upstairs. I'll ask!

I always thought the extra "s" was to denote a secure site.

https is "secure" http. Prefacing an address with https means the browser is trying to connect on port 443 (or some other number designated in a system configuration file). Normal web traffic runs on port 80 (normal http).

Sites involved with direct e-commerce often have the sections that handle money/charge cards have http for browsing and https for order processing (it's used for a lot of things but that's probably what's happening in this case). If you look at the url as you navigate a site you may see the switch.

If the site has both ports enabled the html code needs to reflect what is being processed in a secure method and what is not. If you try to process non secure material through the secure port you get very, very odd results.

Yes, but why is there an https page that looks almost the same as the http page albeit totally goofy to boot? Oh, well. Not something I really need to know or care about as long as there is a work around.
