Roger, LOL!!
God bless the nuns, the world's a holier place with them in it.
But I can't help it, this stuff just jumps out at me.
That, and I have an undying fascination with human behavior.
If it weren't for privacy policies, would I have a story to tell you lads about a guy I admitted last night!!
Wayne, ???

Pete, look at it this way: at least the sex appears to be (have been) protected.

Re: Hobo Jungle
Hey guys, all I did was notice an ironic (iconic?) building!
Tramp, LOL! If you're talking about the nuns being firmly protected behind thick stone walls, maybe you're right, and maybe the architects had some concern behind their wit.
And I'll probably be going to Hell's Hell, but I grew up with nuns all the way through the 12th grade, and my opinion, nuns didn't have a whole lot about which to worry.

Pete, I just thought the tower, if one sees it as a penis, looks as if it has been covered by a prophylactic. Notice the tip. There you have it. Not so funny, I guess.

Bill, LOL!
I might have been able to be convinced that they named the place after you, except that it's titled "SAINT Cyril's".
Here's another problem I have with nuns. Ever see one of them dig a hit-and-miss engine? Ever see ONE on top of a tractor, let alone at a tractor show? Never saw a nun at a road house. Never saw one showing off her train layout in any of the magazines. Never heard one extol the beauty of a 3rd Rail locomotive. Never heard one voicing her opinion here on the Jungle, (or do you suppose... maybe Daisy...
... ??)
(Naaaah! If she's living with Tramp, ain't no way she's celibate!!
)(Or is she saving it for marriage?
Only 'The Shadow' knows!
)
Didn't see a nun, either, at the Benton rodeo last night, during the penning-competition.
(Saw a lot of anti-nuns, in tight jeans and cowgirl hats, astride their steeds!
)
Had a LOL moment at the rodeo, too. Took my 10 y.o. daughter Leah. The 'penning' competition, as I've described before, is a timed-event (one slim minute max) involving three riders separating-out three same-numbered-calves from a small herd of 27, (three each, numbered 1 through 9), getting them up to the other end of the ring and into a pen, without letting a single calf with another number past a line a third of the way up. They have a strong 'herd' instinct, and don't want to be separated, or when one is, several of the rest will want to follow. It involves some mighty impressive horsemanship in the separating!
Well, while one team-of-three was swapping in the ring for the next team, one calf starts 'humping' another, to which I hear my daughter exclaim "Hey! THAT'S not child-friendly!!"

No way, bro! They might start swattin' me on the knuckles with their rulers!
I'd be glad to drive the getaway car, though, if you want to give 'er a shot!

Last rodeo I saw was Tuesday on the AMC channel, Stir Crazy with Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor.
Back in March I was in Phoenix AZ area to watch Cubs & Sox’s
Spring training. My wife Joanne has a friend that lives in Cave Creek AZ.
She also has two horses and a mule. In town every Saturday night they have bull riding.
Man that’s some crazy shit!! seeing this one rider get toss in the air. I thought hockey was a rough sport.

How quick they grow up

Well... that's your point of view. I see it a little differently.
Mongo rides a cow, is cruel to horses and a total dimwit. The sherriff gives him a candygram bomb, Mongo says, "Mongo like candy," and the ensuing explosion knocks him out. The roadrunners here in Tucson (over at the drive in movie) were all rolling in the sand laughing at that one.
Spell Check: "sherriff" s/b "sheriff"
