It really would take some side views of the locomotives to determine this. One of the best examples I have ever seen was when Scott Mann posted a side view of his brass Hudson compared to an MTH Premier Hudson. The gap between the MTH firebox and trailing truck was laughable!!!!!!!

Here is the blub from their catalog. It is pretty acurate, with the exception that the "Little" Boys comment seems to be at a level of condescention I would expect from Poland, Ohio.
I do enjoy these engines, and, in the $600-700 range, they are a better value to me than something like the latest $1600 Alleghany.
I also have the T-1, which is nice looking, but has made three trips to the Lionel hospital. So, YMMV. They are quite nice, but not without problems.
