[Seaboard Air Line Fan]

Took me about 45 minutes to wire it up this evening, other than having to open it back up to tape down the wires to the headlight ( rubbing on the front flywheel), everything worked first time. Oh, I did have to reprogram the Rx to get the Tx to respond from full counterclockwise (stopped) to full clockwise (full throttle), the Rx came setup for midway of the throttle to be stopped/idle. Reprogramming took just a couple of minutes.

This is my first diesel converted to BPRC using the Deltang 3amp Rx board. I had to solder only 3 or 4 wire connections and tin a few more, the BIK has screw terminals which made most of the wiring a piece of cake. I left the original motor wires in place, simply hooked them up to the Rx (actually got the polarity of the motors right the first go!).

Fine slow speed and adequate top speed, I'll have to run a test to see what the top end is.

Again, no sound or smoke, but there's enough sound from the rails to let you know it's moving.

I left the markers unlighted, as of now the numberboards are also unlighted. The decals are brilliant enough they may not need LEDs, but if they do I can put them in later.

Hopefully I can make a crappy video of it for a little show and tell.

Checked the top speed today Ipad app)...a blazing 55mph on the 9.6v battery, that's plenty for me.

I also did an unscientific test on the sound (Ipad app) and came up with 84Db at top speed, avg for a car.

A bit of grease on the gears and it should be good to go.
