Look at the price. Why $531.00? Looks like wood scratch-bash horse car with rough finish & detailing. A cross between a baggage and poultry car?
Maybe it is a very exotic prototype? I would think for that price that you could buy the materials, detail parts, a nice set of brass trucks, an airbrush, paint, glue, some 1/48 horses and some tools to build yourself one. Or maybe pay someone to build one for ya. Just wondering... as I don't get it.

I think that car was from the Seacrest estate -- I'm pretty sure I saw it in one of the lots Stout auctioned off.

Buying a name then..........cause the car is pretty rough. Guess that's a collector thing cause for that kind of money, I'd like a car that doesn't make me cringe when I look at it.

Well...Mr. Corbin's model, with all its warts and charms, went for $560. I guess I'm modeling the wrong prototype, then.
That single car must have paid off several 8 car lots from the auction. Good deal.
Now....who was this mysterious Mr. Corbin? Rarely see a Fischer car hit that price and IMHO, Fischer cars are beautiful.

Bernie Corbin was known for scratch building locomotives (CB&Q steam) and none of them brought what I felt they were worth in the Seacrest Auction, so I'm amazed someone would consider his scratch built passenger car to be so valuable. Certainly proves one man's trash is another man's gold.
