And we wonder why the kids today are demented and Fkd up. All one has to do is listen to the so called music and videos they watch and you can figure it out. We didn't have $hit like this in the 50s when I started listening to R & R. Back then the music was about having fun fun fun.

And the music before then, during the 40's and the 30's, seemed, to me, when I see it in movies featuring "Big Band" moments, to be about relationships that lasted, love, and folks treasuring one another for positive personal characteristics like honesty and loyalty that held-on for lifetimes.

And I don't think that's simply Hollywood feeding the audience that viewpoint; rather, given what adults had to endure in those days, such as loved ones returning from war whole, injured, or not at all, my impression of my own parents and family and of my wife's parents, is that they held on tightly to each other for serious reasons. They held onto patriotism and religious convictions with strength, also.

When I see today's noise performed, I see a lot of self-adoration and crotch-grabbing, and a whole lot of interest in fornication, but I do not see - or sense - any interest in relationships being built on love, as opposed to body-worship and egotism. Does that viewpoint make me antique and "out-of-the-loop" ? Corny, old, and way out of date? Maybe so. But I won't be twerking (gahfahbid) at the next get-together - fortunately (!!!!!)
