I also have not been able to drink until yesterday when I finally completed the regimen of eye drops post-surgery. I am ever so glad that those are over and done with now!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had been wanting to ask you how your eye ordeal had been coming along but didn't see you in these parts (what am I, in a western?). I'm glad you're relieved of one of the ordeals you have had to deal with, Rufus, regarding your vision. Is there any sense more valuable/ Not to my way of thinking.

Glassene. Oh. Well, I stand improved. And the next time I have to converse with folks in that avocation, I'll be sure to use the proper term (who knew? Obviously not daMurph !) Good catch!

Had to travel a bit...a couple of days working one of my part-time jobs. BTW, one can get a good steak at Del Frisco's in Philly.

It is still a lot of adjustment, but it's a big improvement. I cannot imagine how debilitating cataracts might have been decades ago and what options might have been available and how difficult that those might have been. As things go, this was relatively easy to do - I fully concede that this is also something that takes my anxiety meter way past the red zone as my doctor discovered.

I had the cataract surgery @ 10 years ago.Know that I am a big chicken when someone points needles at my body (except in my mouth and there is no explanation for that) and I found the procedure rather easy. I remember when my grandfather had the operation 50+ years ago. He was in the hospital six days with sandbags on each side of his head for four days so he couldn't move his head. I could "see" a big difference. Now I have macular degeneration and I am told there is no cure for that. I also have prisms in my glasses lenses. Without them I see double.
I hope you don't develope any of these problems, Rufus. Or anybody else.

Although I do not like the on-going political discussions and have withdrawn from taking part in them, nothing has changed concerning MTJ being my favorite forum. I continue to admire the many posters that can take part in these discussions and remain civil to each other.
