She got $8000 from her family.. the average Latino family has a better family structure then the average American family. Come to the US work save money and send it home. Help get your mom and sister here. Like it or not it’s very respectable.

Why do the people (many) in this country have such a hard time understanding that illegal entry is illegal entry. I don't care where they got the money, I don't care if they are children, I don't care about the country they come from. Why is it so hard to understand the concept of illegal entry in this country and I have no problem with legal immigration entry.

If we guarded our borders better, there would be no discussion of the mistreatment of illegal immigrant children or any other illegal immigrant.

You would not get the same treatment, we give in the USA, in any country in the world, if you got caught sneaking in....period!

I wasn't inferring the Catholic religion created the population problem in India. I know it's a Hindu country. It's their Governments fault for the overpopulation.

Really, the Indian government is forcing the people to make babies?

John Kenneth Galbraith, United States Ambassador to India under the Kennedy administration, had these observations about birth control in India.

1. The government gave out free birth control pills. The women took the pills after they become pregnant. Explaining how to use the pills did not help. It made no sense to them to take birth control pills if they were not pregnant.
2. The men just refused to use the free condoms.

Quote Galbraith, "In the first place I identify this ["the equilibrium of poverty"] with primitive agriculture, and two factors have been at work there. One is, of course, population growth. If you were a poor farmer in India, Pakistan, or in much of Africa, you would want as many sons as possible as your social security. They would keep you out of the hot sun and give you some form of subsistence in your old age. So, you have pressure for population growth that is, itself, the result of the extreme economic insecurity. This is something which hasn't been sufficiently emphasized."

Galbraith's observations on food aid:

1. The more food the world supplies to India, the more babies survive to eat it.
2. When the food programs end, millions of babies die of starvation.

Galbraith's conclusion--There are not enough resources on Earth to solve India's problems. I think, that there is a certain sterility in economic monuments that stand alone in a sea of illiteracy. Conquest of illiteracy comes first.

World population
http://www.theworldcounts.com/counters/ ... clock_live

The population of the world today...
is about 200,000 people larger than yesterday. The world population clock LIVE shows you in real time how fast it’s actually going. This development will put enormous pressure on Earth’s resources and we’ll need to find more sustainable ways of living. And fast!

A growing population
By 2025, world population will be over 8 billion people. Around 2040 it could hit 9 billion and by 2100 it could reach a massive 11 billion people.

And a much bigger world economy
The world economy could grow a massive 26 times in this century. This will put enormous pressure on Earth’s resources. And we are already overusing at 160 percent…

Something must change
If we don’t start radically changing the way we consume the planet, we will be heading for a complete collapse of our consumer society. At current trends, the planet cannot sustain twice as many people and a 26 times larger economy.

A new industrial revolution
There is a need for a new industrial revolution where economic wealth goes hand-in-hand with environmental and social sustainability. And fast. We are reaching critical tipping points beyond which it will be too late to reverse negative trends.

By 2025, world population will be over 8 billion people. Around 2040 it could hit 9 billion and by 2100 it could reach a massive 11 billion people.

Population 1804 1billion
1927 2billion 123 years
1960 3billion 33 years
1974 4billion 14 years
1987 5billion 13 years
1999 6billion 12 years

Genesis 1:28 King James Version (KJV)
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

I believe China has somewhat approached the population challenge by requiring its citizens to get permission, including from a couple's neighbors, to have a child. Subsequent permission is required if a Chinese family wants an additional child. And touching on what Ambassador Galbraith included in his information, boys are preferred.

I am not entirely sure that that is still fully in effect; put into place decades ago.

A cultural phenomenon that is just more pronounced and overt in China.

At current trends, the planet cannot sustain twice as many people......

Actually, that would only be true if there was nothing changed as to how people lived and were distributed. Human cluster into unsustainable hives that tend to collapse from within.

But that was written when there were only two humans on earth.

I am sure that seemed like a good deal at the time.

You can't continue to crap in your own nest and not pollute it. Look at NYC, they have so much poop they have to ship it to other states.

While that seems obvious, history will tell you that just about all civilizations never learned that lesson, nor have we yet. We just ship it elsewhere and/or just spread it about hoping no one will notice.

Well they did notice down south.
A ‘poop train’ from New York befouled a small Alabama town, until the town fought back

PARRISH, Ala. — All anyone here could talk about was the odor, which drifted from the rail yard to the softball field, past the pharmacy and the hardware store. It was acrid, hurtful, all-consuming, the kind of stench that forced residents and city workers to don masks just to get through the day.

And everyone knew the source: the poop train.

I know about that one, but really just a drop in the bucket. Used to just pump it out into the ocean............

Kind of like Tijuana Mexico that dumps it into a river that ends up on the beaches in San Diego.

We lived south of a big hog farm in Kansas. 90% of the time the wind was from the south. But when it came from the north.....

Hog farms are bad; chicken farms are nasty. But, that liquefied manure was brutal.
