(The life of Stars and Suns:)
+ suns becoming Red Giants...
+ Blue Dwarfs...
+ Black Holes…

...and their relationship toward "The Big Bang" and "Creationism."

Example: When Atomic Bombs were dropped on two Japanese cities, Matter there was neither created nor destroyed; rather, its molecules were cataclysmically Fusion? Fission?) changed from one state to another, from solids and liquids and gases, to different solids, liquids, and/or gases.

..all of which brings us back to Black Holes: + are they where Matter changes from one State to another (solid - liquid - gas) but where nothing is destroyed nor created, evidenced by the "weight" of a star still being present, despite the extreme diminution of its Mass....(?)

..which brings one full-circle to your statement that "Galaxies and Stars remain forever." Do you mean, by that , sir, that they change State, that their Matter (the fact of them) remains forever, though changed in State ?

By your statement, "Not one of them is missing," do you mean that they have merely changed states but that their Matter still exists, that we may not be able to see them any further, but they have not ceased to exist?

Black Holes. What's in them? (Messrs.. Sagan and Hawkins have had something to say - theorize - about them.) And what do you say about Black Holes, as they might relate to your bold statements about stars and galaxies remaining forever, with none of them missing?

Scientists have asserted that some of the "stars" we see at night were so far away their light has only now finally (in Time and Space) reached us, but that they no longer exist.

Have I understood your premise and addressed it with something pertinent?

I never had any difficulty reconciling science and religion. Religion offers Truth, and science figures out the details of some of that truth
Yet, sometimes, the Free Will factor can get a little frisky, but I have a feeling Religion and Science can take it, especially when it comes to devotees questioning things and disobeying rules and precepts, and then later settling down and accepting various truths as sufficiently examined or represented.

Eve disobeying, and then exercising her Free Will, and then Adam disobeying and exercising freewill would be an example of us getting frisky. Also, for example, A Garden of Eden? Scientists, such as anthropologists and archaeologists , have concluded that the Human Race, begun in Africa, did, at one point, leave the forest and venture out onto the savanna. I don't see a conflict, whatsoever, between the two accounts. Religion making a statement, and science discerning the details through research and digging.

Maybe, an old railroad slogan is a good guide when trying to navigate any suggested higgledy-piggledy between scientific and religious . Stop. Look. And Listen.

Thank you, for the very nice reach-back, Roger. But, no, I put it together myself. A dash of Roman Catholicism from childhood and a stint at a Franciscan monastery in adolescence, added to Wittenberg's mind-opening Liberal Arts immersion, plus teaching Art History in Austria, Italy, France, and England, which opened my mind up a bit further; then, living on Manhattan, and subsequently watching Carl Sagan and Dr. Hawkins teach, as well as Dr. Leakey; plus, the discovery of "Lucy's" bones and scientists tracing her DNA to every human on Earth, all added up to my trying to understand a bit more than dogma, trying to put together a synthesis that held my focus, all of that, and more, have helped.

Yet, I do not consider myself to be objective; rather, still subjective. Eh!
