Don't know. Colorized cards can be a bit fanciful at times.

Kind of looks like if they stuck a pole in the hole they dug and it was standing, that was good enough.... :lol:

There are places along the Ohio River where poles and roadway were straight but now are a-kilter because the hillside moves.

Digging hole for a pole 100 years ago was a little more involved than it is now and that "soil" around there is less soil than rocks.

I once looked at a house in Waycross, GA but backed out of the deal partly because of all of the wood trim that was shortly going to need painting/refurbishing


If you can't deal with ladders, then there's a bill to pay on that sort of trim work...

The add-on ramp, which looks plenty strong and serviceable, could seriously benefit from a facelift to bring it into accord with the house's other wood trim.
