Like I said, there is no shortage of culprits. And still, no one went to jail for it.

If we put everybody in jail for being stupid there wouldn't be anybody left to guard them.

Most of what happened was immoral, unjust, bad, .. (whatever value word you chose to use). It was also for the most part legal. We need to take that up with the folks writing these laws.
Once I built a railroad, I made it run,
Made it race against time.
Once I built a railroad, now it's done --
Brother, can you spare a dime?

Rich psychopaths made out great, while the rest of us suffered.

Reminds me of when Reagan changed the tax laws, so that corporate raiders ripped off and destroyed businesses with savings. It also reminds me of how Wall Street operators would pay off reporters from The Wall Street Journal and Barrons, to manipulate stock prices in the early part of the twentieth century. That's what Republicans do - transfer wealth from hard-working, savings-oriented Americans to the very worst of the rich.

Gee Roy, I hope you feel better after that rant. However, you should recall that the Great Recession was the result of miscues by both the Democrats and the Republicans. The Democrats planted the landmines by passing community redevelopment laws. These forced banks to make mortgages available to people who couldn't afford to pay the loans. And yes, the mortgage industry packaged these into junk bonds and other shaky investment vehicles. The Bush administration was clearly asleep at the switch - failing to adequately regulate both the financial and mortgage industries. But both parties were at fault.

Conservative Christians and the psychopathic rich thus constitute an "axis of evil", indeed, they are "the focus of evil in the modern world".

Uh, whatever.

When are you guys going to remember you can't have a real discussion with fanatics?

Oh. Wait. You don't really want to.
You think you are having fun and
putting one over on the other guy.

I hope you hate, and hate the right things. Have you any facts to offer the discussion, or are you just a man of platitudes?

Healey offered you facts as did George. Your facts when you cursed out your fellows in Clubcar about student debt and the GI bill were also sadly lacking or invented; I have some real experience in the latter.

Its about time people stopped giving you a pass and started standing against hate and bile and for civility and knowledgable civilised discourse. Let me be the first.

This will not be as well said as the post by Sarge but I think some of us have not said anything anti Roy because we don't want to appear
to be as hateful as Roy sems to be. I have not said this before but I stopped reading any of the post by Roy a short while ago He may be
ill in some way. I have refrained from saying this for sometime because I was hopeful he might change but that does not seem to likely
to happen.
I think MTJ would be better without him.
