Oh yes. ye old one room school house. No cell phones or computers. And a school-marm with a 12 is heavy ruler to smack you up the side of the head when you didn't behave..... Life was rough back then. :mrgreen:

I've driven through Pleasant Hall more than a few times, but I can't recall seeing this school house - guess it may be gone....

I looked up Pleasant Hall on google maps. This has got to be the proverbial one horse town. Obviously if you blink twice going through this place you will miss it....... Looks like a place I would be very happy to live in. :wink: :wink:

Right on 997 from down Roxbury, :wink: :wink: Speed limit drops there for a bit, otherwise you would miss it.

Similar. Stone and stucco over stone - pretty standard design nonetheless.

The Salem Lutheran Church in Pleasant Hall has a similar structure.

In my photos 1,3 are a church. Photo 2 is a school. Photo 2 has a very unhappy tenant. to the right of the house will be 170 condo units and a shopping district.All geared towards Delval university students. A change in zoning allows you to build shopping centers if you place apartments above them. Only people happy about this are the ones selling land.
