Lionel removed their layout to storage, I believe. The store , FAO Schwarz, on Fifth Avenue, NYC , ended its occupancy of the site.

I had heard there was a temporary storefront somewhere else, perhaps at Rockefeller Center on Manhattan for FAO, but I couldn't state such as fact.

And I do not know if Lionel's layout was welcomed to have space .

FAO on Fifth was so swank that I don't know if anything could ever come close to that presence, but one shouldn't underestimate commercial retail abilities and certainly not by FAO, huh . IMHO .
