That is a scene transplantable right into a model railroad

Center St
Johnsonburg, Pennsylvania
A town that prospered from the railroad and paper mills Reached it's peak of 4,966 population in 1960 and then declined to 2,313 in 2017.
Do you know what year the picture was taken ?

I wonder when the picture was taken ? Fabulous picture.
The Philadelphia and Erie Railroad operated in Pennsylvania between 1861 and 1907. It was subsequently merged into the Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR).
Is that a hotel to the right of the station ?

Attributed to also being in Johnsonburg, Pa
Again, postmarks are only use dates but pre-1910
Probably a hotel - can't quite make out the name on it - New Armstrong or something

After pulling out the original and expanding that, it does appear to be New Armstrong but a little legwork also reveals that at one time it was known as the Straessley Hotel.

Interesting photo. Stone except for a framed wood front. Don't think I've ever seen the like.
Water powered, maybe?
