Why not vote in person? Pennsylvania spent 90 million last year, for new voting machines.

Actually, it's been shown that voting by mail favors the Repubes........so for reasons unknown they are pursuing a strategy that is self-destructive........oh, wait......that's what passes for normal now.

Remember - we libs are kinda afraid of Covid, and are avoiding lines, conventions, even bars.

Martin - I hope you are right. But my more conservative friends consider Covid as just another head cold, and are proceeding normally. Some are angered at the sight of masks; others are polite enough to don one when they come near my hangars.

We were thinking of going absentee this year anyway. I will probably find a drop box.

Are they dying normally?

Some are children and have yet to grow up to be mature adults.

Why not? Several states have been doing this all by mail for years as has the military; it's only an issue this year since Trump wants to kill the election and be appointed a dictator.

Bob, I don't know what conservatives you're around, but being a middle of the road politically, but leaning conservative, I consider anyone not wearing a mask or taking all possible precautions to be an idiot. Covid goes beyond politics, it's self preservation.

Martin - I hope you are right. But my more conservative friends consider Covid as just another head cold, and are proceeding normally. Some are angered at the sight of masks; others are polite enough to don one when they come near my hangars.

I don't get around as much as you do, but I can tell you the people I do get around are all wear masks "now" and they appear to be both liberal and conservative. Maybe its a mid-western thing......and maybe we're more conservative liberals and liberal conservatives than anything else. Any zealot who follows Trumps lead of not wearing a mask is beyond ignorant (I'm sure there's an oxymoron in that statement). :D

But, our local population is wearing masks and today we only had 37 new cases from a high of almost 200 a day a few weeks ago. So, wearing masks and taking precautions pays off and I could never be convinced otherwise.

Us old geezers just need to stay safe, use our common sense and maintain as best we can.

There's several good jokes in there for the taking.

Some things i don't understand about mail in ballots. Why will it over stress the post office? Why do some states want to extend the mail in deadline? whats so hard about getting it post marked by Nov.3rd. Why not go hybrid balloting? Mail them out. You drop them of at the polls. I get 3 advertisements a day from Verizon. 6 days a week. cant we just stop Verizon junk mail for a week? What will pa do with the brand new voting machines? They spent $90 million on them. Maybe we can sell them to a third world country. Then us that money to help found the post office.

It won't stress the PO. They deliver more mail and packages during December than the possible number of ballots. This is all nonsense and misdirection to cast doubt over the election so he can complain of fraud that never happened.

I tried to reply with a quote. I think it is Nancy that wants money for the post office. she wants to found them for ballot deliveries and collections.

My politics are unimportant but I wear a mask when I go away from my house and yard.
I don't like it or forcing people to wear one. But I have often said I might be dumb but I am not stupid. I hope.
I am old enough to not know when I won't get any older but I don't want to help the process.

The amount of VID-19 deaths is now not much worse than a bad flu year and for this we destroyed millions of peoples lives.
They have to keep it going till Nov.3.

I'm afraid the information we all get today is wrought with BS. But, it seems this problem is universal. :D :D :D :D

Simple rational thought and a lot of established facts are apparently beyond some to apply and comprehend.

Then again, the earth is flat and we've never been to the moon either....and Nixon is alive and parenting clones in China.
