I am an F1 fan. Started watching F1 races in the 60's when I overheard an F1 driver complain, "This is the first car I ever drove that had enough power to break the rear tires loose in any gear." I was at an SCCA Group 7 race that included F1 and Formula V on the same day. It was the beginning of using aerodynamic devices to harness the excess horsepower to press the wheels against the road. My 85 Corvette corners at 1g with the right road conditions. F1 cars corner at 3.5g's. I can't imagine what that is like.

Wayne, my dad took me to Watkins Glen to watch Jim Clark race. I've been a fan ever since though in recent years I've moved my racing passion to MotoGP. Still, I can't help watching a few races. Remember when reading about the races three months late in Road&Track was about the only coverage there was? I went to many of the Canadian GPs in Montreal. Great track to watch, but then it became too crowded and too expensive. The new F1 cars develope about 5 Gs under braking.

Of course you are correct if you wish to show centrifugal vectors.
I wanted to show the centripedal forces (the force of the pavement acting on the tires.)
centrifugal--proceeding or acting in a direction away from a center or axis
centripedal--proceeding or acting in a direction toward a center or axis

Wayne, that's the young Spaniard, Dani Pedrosa. He only weighs 113 pounds. Everyone believed he was the only human capable of beating the greatest rider of all, Valentino Rossi, but it looks like the crazy Australian kid, Casey Stoner might be the one. I still think Rossi will regain his title though I'd prefer one of the other lads.
