Ah, Tramp, it appears you have purchased a Thompson Sampler. Is it not crazy what has happened to the price of imported cigars. 10 years ago a box of #5s, (46ring-7 1/4") was $32.00 per 25. They don't have that one any more, but a comparable cigar goes about $80 now.

Mitch, Thompson's basically sucks in my opinion, and though I purchased once from them (NEVER again), it wasn't the sampler. What you are seeing in the photo are cigars I've picked up and managed not to smoke over the last twenty years. There are a couple true Cubans in there.

But I see a few namebands in the row that Thompson offers now. I used to buy quite a few from Thompson, and I can tell you that what you buy for $40 a box, if you go to a Cigar Store and buy them individually out of the humidor, you pay $5 or $6 apiece for them. I liked their cigars.

Mitch, I've had really good service and prices from Mike's in Miami. The only thing I bought from Thompson's was their starter package: a humidor that was damaged, a lighter that didn't light, and a bundle of their-brand cigars that were so unsmokable I ended up throwing them out. When I called Thompson's about these issues they basically told me to do myself with a cigar, which has interested certain princes and presidents, but just doesn't do it for me.


But let's smoke one of these and I'll get Danni to set up another round. That is Danni, isn't it?
