Low Resolution shot of Adams E-7. This one has six axle power, two motors, no U joints, 12 wheel pickup, and could be used as a tug at the airport if I installed tracks.

Bob, you're apparently not flying enough; these are really (though the E needs some screens, right?) good.
I thought I qualified my assertion as" ....certainly not all...." in which I was referring to all that large and choice SP roster of yours (as a few more here likely do) with which you have finished many to full fruition, at least per my "loose"standards (note my two current projects are based on Chesters or Bensons)

Screens and (ahem) handrails.

My problem is - I regard these things as trivial; I can add them at any time. I admit: I would rather use expanded metal than carburetor screen, and have no stock of either - but when so motivated it will be trivial. Handrails are even easier - some #63 holes and Loctite, and done. Just did handrails on three brass tenders - almost as easy, but requires a torch. So I am capable; I now await motivation.

Surely somebody else has PRR around here? I will run out in a hurry.

Bob very nice engines ..please post youtube link of your Adams set pulling the Piper Cub out to the runway .

Here we have a set of Sharks ( 17/64ths) by Jack Bramble ..circa 1951-5 ..with out side 3 rd pick ..(Jack ran outside 3rd rail) .

Jack was a big builder of PRR...scratch built GG1 in 1936 ...he wrote many articles for MR.... in Feb 1949 nice article covering all his engines ...( outside 3rd rail ) ... 1950 MR does an article announcing outside 3rd rail is dead .....Jack sends in a letter to the editor announcing he is not dead or is outside 3rd rail .....last written word I can find in MR by Jack ......
spring ( rubber band type ) drive like Varney ? HO .... seems to works ... add power, headlights come on and movement occurs .. unknown if traction effort would taxi a Cessna.

Scalecraft boiler, Lobaugh frame, CLW plastic drivers, CLW rods and valve gear, scratch tender on Lobaugh trucks. Runs fine, mostly finished. I am a fan of being able to actually detect some green in Brunswick.

CLW boiler, Saginaw frame, Lobaugh drivers. Tender - no longer sure - may be scratch. We actually wound up making our own Dolphin trucks. That is a Walthers coach peeking out on the right.

Robert that H16-44 is the bomb and opinion- hardly homely, I always thought these Car Works models were a bargain when they came out; wish I'd bought one.

Carey those Sharks are off the chart cool in surprisingly detailed way, do you know details on how Bramble fabricated these? looks like fairly thin soldiered metal sheet, cleanly done form the outside at least.

JS does your Baldwin CP H-20-44 sport the same drive set-up internally as Carey's Walther's catalog shot? I'm always curious about how these old dudes run; my experience is noisy but powerful when they do. I may have asked this as well before but are the wheels insulated?

Bob that long distance tender on the I1 is an interesting addition, I recall in one of Ball's books that they use to sport them on the coal drags up to Sodus Point. See if I wound up building or buying a locomotive like it (not likely as I have one now and have virtually zero machine tool skills to boot) I'd have a hard time doing anything else until I finished the cab windows, also I did not know that CLW had plastic drivers either. Like these a lot, that E6 is a jewel.

Well homely was perhaps a tad bit excessive. Actually I was immediately drawn to its brutish profile, but it certain isn't the darling of diesel either.

No, the drive in mine looks to be a custom 8-wheel drive; the motor is in the cab but mounted horizontally driving a very large gear on the drive shaft (see the gearcase cover on the left bottom of the fuel tank), I suspect that there is a very small gear on the end of the armature shaft. I have not figured out how to get the lid off yet to czech it out.

I have yet to power this up as I do not have an arc-welder! I suspect my Lionel KW has the brass to do so, so one day I may give it a try. Note that it is a wound-field motor so it will run on AC.

I do not believe that the wheels are insulated; I do not remember if I checked it with the 260 or not.

Hmmmm, more projects for the near future.

I am thinking that this will not run very fast but will pull the plumbing right out of the station.
